2012: Cool control

2012 proved a terrific year with cooler conditions. Spring rains in the growing season resulted in extensive canopies and high vine yields. In late Spring and during the ripening period, Mario implemented a program of crop reduction for the Sangiovese and Nebbiolo. This ensured the fruit intensity of the grapes, which the end wines retained.

Vintage commenced in early March and continued through a mild April.

Our 2012 Grazia, Rose and Viognier have now been released. The 2012 reds are looking very promising at this stage.
