With the Marson family hailing from close to the border with the Veneto, it is no surprise that Vinea Marson produces its own Prosecco. A crisp, dry sparkling wine, the Prosecco is made in the méthode traditionelle, spending one month on lees prior to disgorgement and dosage. The secret ingredient – a splash of Pinot bianco – provides the wine with complexity and palate weight. The 2017 iteration possesses ripe pear, fresh green apple with subtle notes of lemon pith and florals on the nose. The palate expresses the crisp acidity of zesty lemon, nutty flavours and a yeasty complexity. Its rich mouth-feel concludes with a hint of bitterness and saltiness that cries out for a plate of antipasto.
