A blend of 59% Pinot bianco, 20% Malvasia d’Istria, 16% Friulano & 5% Picolit
The flagship white of our Heritage range, the Grazia is named in memory of Mario’s mother, who emigrated from Italy with her husband, Giuseppe, in the early 1950s. This blend of Pinot bianco, Malvasia d’Istria, Friulano and Picolit is pale straw in colour with a hint of green. On the nose aromas of macadamia nut, delicate field flowers and orange blossom – are complemented by a youthful and vivacious palate. With flavours of creamy butter thanks to barrel fermentation, orange and lemon pith notes, its delicate structure bears less phenolic weight than earlier vintages. Reminiscent of the first Grazia from the 2011 vintage, the wine concludes with a hint of pleasant vanilla on the palate, and an integrated medium length finish. An intriguing wine that is true to character, the 2016 Grazia has excellent potential for ageing of up to 8-10 years and is best accompanied by white meat dishes.
‘Golden when liberated - ripe peaches and roasted nuts. Chardonnay? Rich white wine. Balanced and still full of potential. This is very good!’
